Hello,
My name is Zoey Fujii, I was born in Chitose, Japan and raised in the Portland Metro area most of my life. I’m currently pursuing a BFA in Product Design with a minor in Art at the University of Oregon, with plans to graduate in Spring 2025.
When I first entered college, I intended to major in Art. However, in 2022, I was introduced to the world of design—something I hadn’t previously considered. Design was completely new to me, but it quickly became clear that it offered more than just a creative outlet- it provided a sense of purpose and direction that deeply resonated with me.
While I have experience working with soft goods, my main interest lies in designing hard goods—particularly lighting. I work primarily with natural materials such as ceramics, wood, metal, and paper. I’m drawn to how these materials interact with light and people- creating connections that feel thoughtful and intentional.
When i'm not focused on design projects I enjoy traveling and shooting both landscape and cityscape photography.
